Thankfully, THE Diva "talks me down"...

And thus I and perhaps WE collectively can all commence breathing once again...

Linda at Celtic Diva's Blue Oasis has updated my original panicky post there and I for one am grateful. Follow the links posted there...

That notwithstanding, it was sneaky and underhanded the way that they went about hiding important public documents. I understand that Parnell wanted a clean break from the past, I really do. I also appreciate the idea that to continue to display possibly libelous and personally vindictive documents POSING as "press releases" might cause them exposure to future lawsuits, but that does not excuse they way they did it nor does it correct the problem of the documents STILL not being available for archival purposes on the official SOA website. Are they public documents or not, Governor Empty Suit? Are you going to make us pay $500K to request copies of documents we as citizens already OWN instead of the usual 25 cents per page copy fees that most if not ALL states governments and institutions charge?

  1. I find this outrageous. Are you saying Alaska is embarrassed and/or concerned about legal matters and therefore they are concealing public records? That is not a crime?

  2. Did you follow the links at Lind'a site? As far as your questions go, you'd have to ask those in charge. Since I do not work for the state of Alaska and until I discover otherwise I'd say those questions are better asked of state officials by Alaskans. Direct any angst towards the proper authorities... ;)

  4. Thank you. I did catch up and still think it is outrageous how the state does business. There is no excuse. They should have made it clear what they were archiving. I see no reason to not leave it available until the job was complete. I haven't checked but I suppose ALL the photos and videos are archived. That would be all except the ones they removed from her two month pregnancy. As I understand those are not on the way back machine? Keep up your diligence!

  5. Well, were to begin? BPP, I was only concerned about the official press releases vanishing from the State of Alaska Governot's website (whups, Freudian slip spelling error, think I'll leave it that way. It fits.) The twitter account, not so much though last time I checked it was all still up there. She didn't control that site ultimately so her inane tweets will be there until they decide to take them down. I dunno what you mean by the pictures or videos because as far as I know they never published any to the official SOA site. Again, more concerned with documents that could be used as evidence in any potential future lawsuits.

Glad to help add the 2+2 together finally E4E. I would say it is NOT common to try to alter public documents because far too many people have copies in one form or another and can disprove any heavy handed alterations easily. Anyhow, see you around on the webs. =)
