Whatever Senator John "I knuckled under to the neocons by cravenly picking Sarah Palin as my running mate AND LOST" and "the fundamentals of the economy are basically sound" McCain says -- do EXACTLY the opposite. This man has totally lost all credibility and any respect I used to have for him BEFORE he got in bed with the people who killed his 2000 campaign, the very same people who pushed Palin on him.
The time for bi-partisanship is over. If you drop the public option or a single payers solution, these neocon idiots will STILL vote against it anyhow just to embarrass you. Remember, DO EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE! Time to dig your heels in and make it happen, time to grow a pair and take a stand against these obstructionists in the PARTY OF NO. They not only make me ashamed to be a Republican, they make me ashamed to be an American.

From one embarrassed republican to another, I couldn't agree with you more.

ReplyDeleteHe lost creditability with me when folded on torture. Then found out how handled the POW subcommittee.
ReplyDeleteHe has NO honor.
Precisely, Georgia and BonesAK.
ReplyDeleteBack when he was truly maverick-y and was sticking it to Bush, maybe but now... not at all. I hope Obama doesn't fall for the bait he's holding out. The neocons will negotiate compromises and then none will support the bill in an effort to embarrass Obama. Thus why I say, do the opposite of what the neocon puppets say and don't knuckle under to pressure to accept the Trojan horse of fake bi-partisanship they'll be offering.

McCain sold his soul and lost for it. The entire right wing wants to use this as the last stand for some reason. I say we give them what they want.
ReplyDeleteI disagree John. They already had their last stand and LOST. Now it's just the screeching, dying remnants of the party crying out in desperation in an effort to try to embarrass their way back legitimacy. So I'm for serving them up a big, steamy mug of STFU and pusing through a reasonable bill other than H.R.3200, such as S.391 instead... OUR Trojan horse to give them the final stake through their ideological heart. The time for bi-partisanship is over. They had their chance. They pissed it away playing games with semantics and people's lives.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I'll make sure and turn off the lights when I'm the last one to leave (only because I'll have been laughing so hard at the absurdity of neocon stupidity in between crying jags at the death of the party of Abe Lincoln, the Party of Teddy Roosevelt).

Actually, my post was easily misinterpreted. What I meant was "give them a last stand".
